Travel Advisory For The Israel-Iran Conflict

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and External Trade of the Republic of Vanuatu hereby issues the following urgent travel advisory in response to the escalating hostility between Iran and Israel.

All nationals and passport holders of Vanuatu are strongly advised to refrain from travelling to Israel and the broader Middle-East region until further notice. The situation in these areas remains extremely volatile and unpredictable, posing significant threats to personal safety and freedom of movement.

Citizens currently present in affected regions are urged to take extreme caution and make immediate arrangements to depart. Individuals intending to travel to or through the areas are advised to postpone all non-essential travel until situation improves.

The Ministry continues to closely monitor the situation and will provide updates via official channels, including the media and the Ministry’s website: www.mfaicet.gov.vu.

Vanuatu nationals requiring urgent consular assistance are encouraged to contact the Ministry directly or reach out to the nearest diplomatic mission.

Travel Advisory For The Middle East Region

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and External Trade of the Republic of Vanuatu wishes to advise all Vanuatu nationals and passport holders to refrain from traveling to the Middle East region due to the volatile and security environment.

Should any national have traveling plans through and into that region the Ministry’s is advising that these be delayed until it is safe. Given the unpredictable nature of the situation, there is a significant risk that the security environment can quickly deteriorate.

The Ministry is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates through media and its website www.mfaicet.gov.vu.

The Ministry is urging all Vanuatu citizens who are currently in the region or have planned to travel to reconsider their arrangements and prioritize their safety. For those who require assistance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vanuatu missions abroad are prepared to offer consular support.
